The 2026 programme at Tension
For the first 9 months of 2026 I will be occupied with the final year of my four year, part time MFA Fine Art degree at Goldmith’s, University of London. To give myself some time to concentrate on this, I have invited Matt Hale a trusted friend and artist to programme four exhibitions at Tension in 2026. Matt has selected three artists to have a 6 week solo exhibition each and a fourth has been selected by myself.
There will be a Graduates Show later in the year and possibly more shows to be confirmed!
Matt Hale
Matt has exhibited at Tension with a solo show in 2021 called True-Fictive Nature and another in 2024 called Mutant Library- a collaboration with Nick Cash under their adopted name BOOKEND.
As well as producing and exhibiting his art in the UK and Internationally Matt was a co-founder of City Racing an important and renowned exhibition space near Vauxhall between 1988 and 1998 and has been a consultant to the critical contemporary magazine Art Monthly since 1991 and a host of the Art Monthly Talk Show since February 2009.
